Guidelines Chairpersons – Speakers/Presenters

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DESIGNATED CHAIRPERSONS – SPEAKERS/PRESENTERS

A panel slot has 75 minutes. At the end there should be 15 minutes left for Q&A. The rest of the time should be split between the papers.

Therefore, the approximate time for each presentation is 12-15 minutes, depending on the size of the panel.

If multiple authors are present at the conference, the presentation can be a joint one. No need to priorly announce this.

Presenters can bring their PowerPoint presentations on a memory stick. There is no need to send the presentation beforehand.

When your session is over, your presentation will be deleted from all computers, no copies or back-ups will be made.

As the Conference is an in-person one and not a hybrid one, Eurocrim2025 Conference Organizers don’t offer any technical possibilities of online presentations or participation.

There is no need or possibility to send the full-text paper beforehand. The Eurocrim Conferences don’t offer other publication than the book of abstracts.

  1. A domain user account with the username EUROCRIM (no password required) has been created for speakers/presenters to use on Sessions Rooms of the ACG (American College of Greece) computers.
  2. To avoid technical incompatibilities, we strongly recommend using the ACG desktop computer available in each room.
  3. All ACG computers are equipped with Microsoft Office Professional 2021. Please ensure your presentation is compatible with this version.
  4. The operating system on ACG computers is set to English.
  5. If speakers/presenters need to use their own devices:
    • They must arrive at least 15 minutes before the session to test their setup and ensure everything is functioning correctly.
    • Mac users are advised to bring a USB-C to HDMI adapter. While we will provide a limited number, availability cannot be guaranteed for all sessions.
    • Please note that personal laptops will connect via Wi-Fi only (no Ethernet connections available).
  6. To ensure a smooth flow and avoid delays, Chairpersons must collect presentation files from all speakers/presenters and upload them to the ACG desktop computer prior to the start of each session.
  7. Chairpersons are encouraged to be in the room at least 15 minutes before the session begins to ensure all technical elements are in order. If assistance is needed, please contact the designated Volunteer on your floor.
  8. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning units. For optimal performance, we kindly ask that settings are not adjusted. If support is needed, please consult the designated Volunteer on your floor.
  9. In addition to the Library study rooms, the computer labs near Starbucks and room CN-R1112 in the Communication Building (CN) will be available throughout the conference for checking emails or completing other tasks.
  10. Please note that rooms are available only during your assigned session time.
